Code/Art Animation with Lines of Code: Became an National Finalist in Animated Art
Story:
I learned about Code/Art, a National competition for creating art with code in my Game Design. In that class, we were learning about P5 Play, a JavaScript library for animation and because of this I decided to enter Code/Art in the Animated Art. My sister loves ocean animals, and her favorite is the dolphin. Due to this, I decided to animate a dolphin swimming in the open ocean. I mocked-up the design in Procreate, splitting the dolphin into simple shapes. Then I created it in JavaScript.
Reflection:
I enjoyed this project because it allowed me to use code to create art, compared to previous projects. I became a National Finalist in the Animated Art category. Additionally, my art was featured on my school TV channel.
